We went to this place to eat chivito , the dishes very well served , very good attention and culminate the first level of folk show
Today we went in family to eat. It was empty and the place decorated in a very basic way. We had no great expectations but we were surprised at the quality of what we ate. Sweet fries. The hymn in Chala too. Even the bread pudding was delicious.
We went on the recommendation of a Talampaya National Park guide. We buy half a dozen meat empanadas and to date the best empanadas in Argentina. We're looking forward to more. They're fries but not oily, juicy, and they're wearing potatoes. I repeat: the best empanadas in Argentina.
Thursday, March 8th We left by car from the city of La Rioja to reach the city of Villa Union and about 250 Km away and 20 Km. from the Talampaya Park, we leave from the 76 road to walk a dirt road that will lead us to this restaurant in open countryside near the village of Pagancillo, very rustic environment and a festive welcome. We order humita en chala, a traditional dish of the Andean area which consists of grains of a freshly beaten corn and cooked in fat with onion, pepper and cheese. This dough is then boiled, wrapped and tied into its own leaves. A complete dish, really good and aesthetically satisfactory. At the end of the meal we are offered by the owner a dish of black grapes freshly picked and really exquisite. Recommended.
