The décor and ambience has improved vastly since our prev... read more We decided to have a pizza, our first for many years, and chose L'Artifice as it is local to our home. The décor and ambience has improved vastly since our previous visit over f2yrs. ago. There is a large selection of Pizzas to choose from and when they arrived, they were large, piping hot and the toppings were very generous. They had been freshly made to order while we sat in the dining area. Both pizzas were delicious. The house rose was good, and so were the deserts. We will certainly not leave it so long before we return to sample different toppings. Diners are in the minority, as while we were having our meal, the chef must have made over 20 pizzas for takeaway orders. Some had been phoned in, others people waited while their orders were filled. Soft drinks and some alcohol is also available. An enjoyable interlude and at a reasonable price. Being on the main street there is still plenty of parking available close by.

On arriving at our destination the plan was to have a dr... read more We had walked 12 miles on Saturday from Caune minervois to La Redorte , along the ‘Chenin Verte ‘ path. On arriving at our destination the plan was to have a drink and catch the bus home at 6. 30. Sadly we read on the timetable that this last bus on Saturday now has to be pre booked the day before !!! Depressed we popped into this lovely pizzeria by the bus stop , at 6 pm The lovely owner said he began service at 6.30 , but offered us a seat inside. We later ate a pizza each while he tried several numbers to find us a taxi. In the end he did ! A lovely man. Delicious pizzas huge and fully loaded ! Just an expensive journey home of 40 euros ....... instead of 2 ! Nice place. Good food. Helpful owner
