We stopped by on our way to the Circuit du Paysan bike trail for a quick breakfast. Perfect place to sit outside and savour their fine cheeses along with fresh croissants sold on site, all complemented with a view of the fields.
This place is a weekend destination for hundreds of visitors from Montreal. Located on a dairy farm, they make their own wide variety of cheese's and the ones that I have tried are delicious. The store is bright, clean, and modern, the plentiful staff are friendly, and very helpful. The price is very reasonable. I have seen their product in Montreal delis at twice the price. The store also carries a large selection of typical deli packaged foods and specialty service items. They will readily provide you with a taste of any cheese that you are not familiar with. Parking is limited but manageable. Service can be bi-lingual. This place may be way out in the country but is so popular on weekends that you will have to take a number for service when you enter. Highly recommended.
This is one of my favorite cheese producers in the world. Their raclette cheese is better than award winning raclette cheese I've tasted in Europe. Prices are slightly lower than what you would pay in a grocery shop or cheese specialist but it is worth it. My favorites are the raclette cheeses but the Saint Paulin makes a fine sandwich.
We were lucky to come on a day and time when it wasn 't busy. I 'm a Dutchman, and we invented cheese; why else are we referred to as 'cheese-heads '...Anyway, this out-of-the-way cheese store will make any Dutchman worth his moniker drool. They have an exceptional selection of very fine cheese 's.
The best raclette cheese also tome de chevre, goat cheese is great
