Clean, simple rooms with nicer TVs and nice and thick walls! Sure, it's not a resort and although it's across the street from the lake, at least half the rooms don't have any view, but the continental breakfast is better than expected (especially the hot cinnamon rolls). Our room had it's own whirlpool, which was nice, but the pool by the lobby doors does not have a big one to hang out in.Walkability: You can walk ac... View all feedback.

This hotel really needs to get it together. We booked three nights over a week in advance. This hotel really needs to improve its operation. We booked a three-night stay well in advance, and after a long drive, we arrived around 6:30 only to learn that our room was given away due to overbooking. We were told there were no available rooms in the vicinity because of a local festival. After searching for hours, our family was forced to drive nearly an hour in the opposite direction to find a hotel. Fortunately, we were able to stay at this hotel for the next two nights as originally planned, but the experience was far from ideal. Our room had a strong smell of marijuana and could have been much cleaner. Had we not needed to be in the area, we would have switched hotels entirely. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience.
The rooms are clean and simple, featuring nice TVs and thick walls for added privacy. While it's not a resort and, although located just across the street from the lake, many of the rooms lack a view, the continental breakfast exceeded expectations—especially the warm cinnamon rolls. Our room had a private whirlpool, which was a great touch, but the pool near the lobby is quite small and not ideal for lounging. In terms of walkability, you can easily stroll over to the lakefront and there are a few local dining options nearby, but reaching the main downtown area will require a drive.
The hotel is new and reasonably clean, but it's significantly more expensive than other options in LaPorte, while offering only slight improvements, if any, compared to nearby hotels. The rooms lack proper ventilation, with only a bathroom exhaust fan that has minimal effectiveness and only works when the lights are on. Additionally, the windows don’t open at all. The walls are extremely thin, and we, along with our children, were awakened at 5:45 in the morning by a high school baseball team in the adjacent room, who were chanting and doing calisthenics. The carpeted floors felt unclean. On a positive note, the continental breakfast was above average, though the seating arrangements were inadequate. During our extended stay, the front desk staff responded rudely and unhelpfully to our concerns, appearing generally unsympathetic and, in some cases, incompetent.
Seems like a new build. Across the way from a beautiful lake. We really enjoyed staying. The front desk personnel helped us find a number of things including dining and shopping. We will stay again.Rooms: Seems like it is fairly new. Very clean.Nearby activities: A lot of outdoor activities.Safety: One feels very safe here.Walkability: A lot of paths for walking or hiking.
Clean rooms. Modern updates. Full Buffet Breakfast. Easy Access. This is a very nice scenic location along the lake. There is a slip/harbor by the water. Plenty of top notch Restaurants around the area. The area is safe.Rooms: 5/5
