My experience here was quite disappointing. My partner and I were the first in line to place our order at the window. He chose a vegan entrée while I opted for a cup of the soup of the day. Since my order was minimal, I asked if a bowl-sized portion was available or if they could give me a bit more than just a cup. The cashier checked with an employee in the back, and I overheard them say that they couldn't accommodate that request because they needed to make the soup last for the next two weeks. What? The cashier then informed us it would take 25 minutes to prepare our order. We ended up waiting 40 minutes, only to receive a tiny portion of lukewarm soup that was filled halfway, as if they were rationing it. My partner’s vegan entrée came with a small, shallow bowl of lentils and a rather uninspired salad made up of just spinach leaves. He mentioned it wasn’t very filling. To add to our frustration, even though we were the first to order, others who came after us received their meals before we did. The food was flavorful, but considering the small portions, it felt overpriced. Overall, the service was unprofessional and lacking in customer care. It seems they think they can get away with this kind of service due to the limited dining options on the island. I wouldn't recommend dining here, especially during the off-season. You might be better off bringing a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some hand warmers.
