Rita's Italian Ice - La Plata

I absolutely adore banana-flavored Laffy Taffy; it's my ultimate weakness besides dark chocolate. Rita's banana custard tastes just like it, and the flavor is amazing. The texture of the ice cream is also fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I unfortunately didn't catch the name of the girl who helped me today (7/10), but she went above and beyond to assist me with my rewards app so I could get credit for my purchase, even though my phone was acting up. Thank you!

I love this restaurant, and so does my son. They have a playground for kids to play in while waiting. It can be crowded during peak hours, but the delicious frozen treats make it worth the wait.

I paid $4 for a small custard that only filled a third of the cup. When I asked for a little more, the manager was rude and told me that prices were up everywhere. When I requested a refund, she said they do not offer refunds. I decided to leave a tip and mentioned that it would be my last visit to any Ritas. The manager agreed, and I ended up going next door to Roy Rogers where I got a nice big strawberry shortcake for $3.49.

I must confess, this is my first visit to this restaurant. It was truly fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome despite not feeling like I fit in with the quiet town. There are park benches outside if you want to sit down. The view is mainly of the highway, but the real highlight is the Italian ice and the top-notch customer service. I highly recommend coming here for that experience.

Terrible customer service. Make sure to ask for utensils and napkins, they never offer them. Or maybe they just don't like me.
