Definitely sit on the waiting list! We were there on Sunday. I'm glad when I googled it, I entered the waiting list... at this point it was 75 minutes. It ended more than 90 minutes, but WELL WORTH IT!!! The food is good and you get a lot of it. My husband has pork chops, eggs, fries and toast. I had the NY Strip dinner with a salad, sweet potatoes, corn fries and maize bread. It was enough food for two people. Every... View all feedback.

Late lunch on a Wed afternoon. Medium crowd but no wait. Menu has a bazillion items and waitress refused to suggest an item. So we went with Shrimp and sweet potato fries and a crab cake with onion rings. Food came promptly. Shrimp was fresh and had clearly been cooked in fresh oil. Crab cake was fried; crispy outside juicy within. Food was good. But...pretty darn expensive. $18 each meal. Now we saw the price on the... View all feedback.
Okay! Here is one of Charles County favorites! There's definitely a moment when you're not there early. However, I only realized that you can reserve your spot online so that definitely is a better option. The food was delicious as usual. It was hot and the service was fast. The pork chops were thick, tasty and juicy, but the bread was a fight to stay. Everything else was great and the coffee came. Parking could be better, but there are additional parking spaces on the back. You also have a wide selection of baked goods for sale, so take a piece of life.
Grandma was our server and Boy she literally reminds me of my grandmothers, she is direct, and always checks on you to make sure you are okay during the meal. Your attitude alone keeps me coming back. All staff is amazing is a good ole land meal that fills your stomach and soul. Love? I got a hat.
Definitely join the wait list! We were there on a Sunday. I am glad when I googled it I joined the wait list?at that point it was 75 minutes. It ended up being more like 90 minutes, but WELL WORTH IT!!! The food is good and you get plenty of it. My husband got the pork chops, eggs, home fries and toast. I had the NY strip dinner with a salad, sweet potato fries, corn fritters and corn bread. It was enough food for 2 people. Everything came out hot; definitely gets bonus points for that. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive. Can?t forget to mention the prices. They were the best for any place we have eaten in this area.

But 6 Shrimp and fries in a diner for $18, no thanks
