Near La Roche chairlift this restaurant serves mainly Italian food plus Savoy classics. Lovely wood fire inside but being hardy Brits we ate outside but appreciated the lamb skin covered seats. Food was excellent and much better than normal ski restaurants. Even enjoyed the background music who does not like a mix of ska and reggae? Worth seeking out. View all feedback.
What Tom D doesn't like about Chalet de la Roche:
Great spot to stop, lovely terrace in the sun, however despite everyone else receiving table service, we were ignored and it was not even busy, 3 o'clock way past lunch rush. Eventually got fed up of waiting so ordered at the bar to order a beer and hot chocolate. What I received was a beer and a scummy mug half full of worse than instant hot chocolate. Fantastic food and great guy who owns it. We used to go to his champagny en vanoise restaurant and by chance stumbled on him here. Great food and would Recommend it 10/10
Best pizza! Really tasty. Kind waiters and super fast service! Highly recommended for a lunch break!
This is the hidden gem of the resort. The food is amazing and the Calzone is the best I have ever tasted. Best to arrive at 2pm after the lunch rush. It's good value for a mountain restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. Situated at the bottom of some epic forest runs. Blue and red. The Roche lift takes you back to the heart of the resort.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Lots of charm with a warm welcome from staff woodburner. Both of us had tagliatelle one porcini other pesto al rucola. We will return. Best lunch on the slopes !
We waiting for over an hour for our food, and then 45 minutes for the main courses to arrive from the first person to the last person... we were a party of 12. Really very poor.
