On the piste down from Aime la Plagne is this superb place te sit, drink, eat, enjoy. We ended up here by accident while snow was blazing through our goggles. A quick shelter was te plan. Inside you feel like Josef Maria. What coincidence during the Christmas holidays: an old stable converted to restaurant. Utmost ambiance! Try anthing and it’s good. Especially when it’s topped with French “Reblochon” cheese. Service... View all feedback.
What Diego Murillo doesn't like about Au Bon Vieux Temps:
We loved this place and came here again this year. But something has changed and it was a disaster. We wanted to stay inside because the kids were cold, but it was a mistake. They did not have any heating and it was not cozy. The service was very poor. They forgot about our orders and it took too long to make anything. We asked for hot chocolate for kids after the meal and we had to wait more than half an hour to get... View all feedback.
Went here on the chalet hosts night off and loved it! They picked us up in their cow van and took us up the hill and then we walked across the piste in the snow which was fun! 3 of us shared raclette which was a really good sized portion and delicious. I had apple pie for dessert.. also great! The staff were friendly and while we waited for the van home we were treated to some complimentary genepi! Awesome evening!
We knew we 'd arrived at the right place from the 'Pulp Fiction ' dancing music blaring from the outside speakers: pushed our way inside, out of the whirling snow and found ourselves in a full on party atmosphere: It was completely brilliant. Found a table for 4 out back, towards the loos, and we were well looked after. My plain omelette and salad was huge and delicious at euro 13, but I was pretty jealous of the Lyonnaise salad my friend had. Beers and a round of Schnapps (probably from the landlord? ensured we really had a great time. Yes all around us people were dancing on the tables. A real Folles Douche moment without having to leave La Plagne. Really the most memorable lunch of this year 's holiday and acceptably priced: BRILLIANT check it out.
A wonderful quirky old cattle barn tucked into the side of the mountain side. Au Bon Vieux Temps is always worth a visit. Low ceilings, rustic everything and great staff! Almost like a living museum! They do a great hearty ski lunch and the best hot chocolate on the mountain.

I was so flabbergasted I forgot to take pictures of the place. Go!
Loved loved this warm, inviting, atmospheric restaurant. Staying in Plagne Village they collected us in their mini van a short walk across the snowy slope to this magical Alpine wooden piste side restaurant. Fabulous food we had thinly sliced beef that we cooked ourselves on an electric hot plate with salad the best chips), great wine list friendly and helpful people. Just lovely .....
