Muse - La Pêche
Muse
Description
The Muse at Wakefield Inn offers a picturesque dining experience overlooking a waterfall, with music at the perfect volume for conversation. While service was pleasant and efficient, the food was hit or miss. Starters were delicious, but the main course lacked seasoning and was disappointing. Despite high prices, the desserts and wine were enjoyable. Overall, the location and amenities at Wakefield Inn left a positive impression, making it a great choice for a personal trip. The Muse provides professional service and well-paired wines, making it a good option for special occasions or romantic dinners.

I would rate this restaurant a 1 out of 5 for their brunch menu. At $45 per person, I ordered the avocado toast which came with burnt black bread. Additionally, they forgot about my coffee. While the location is lovely, the quality of the food and service is not worth the price.
We paid over $500 for a special New Year's Eve dinner for two, including wine pairing. Unfortunately, we found the price to be excessive considering the average quality of the risotto dish. The servers were friendly, the location was beautiful, but the overall food quality did not meet our expectations despite the variety of ingredients used.
My wife's dinner was excellent, receiving 5 stars. Unfortunately, my dinner was a disaster. Two out of the three items I ordered were incorrect, although they did get the dessert right. Additionally, my filet, which I ordered medium rare, was cooked to medium plus. I was very disappointed with my dining experience.
Absolutely delicious blind tasting menu that catered to my gluten and dairy sensitivities. Chef made delicious small plates that were perfect for my allergies! They even provided gluten free bread!! Would come back again!!
Breakfast- chef told us all of their menus were reduced due to COVID, breakfast was plain, lack of flavour. I ordered the salmon Benedict and my hubby ordered the traditional breakfast. Loved that for 25$, the meal included our mimosas and coffee with the meal. I would not recommend breakfast if you’re looking for a meal that’s going to blow your mind away. Dinner- we went for the 5-course discovery tasting menu wth the wine pairing. This menu changes weekly. We both enjoyed the food, of course the tasting menu is very small and so you may be hungry after if you haven’t eaten all day. The flavours were great compared to breakfast. I would try dinner again there, but not 5-course experience. We were there for 3.5 hours!! It was tooo long. Aside from that, the ambience of the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was great! Service both times were also great- loved that they worked as a team. We also had cocktails at the Heron wine bar. An old fashion and cosmo- delicious!
