What User doesn't like about Cerveceria La Mexico:
Sat on the malecon, beers are cold and cheap pesos). Hamburger was yuk, the meat was kind of mushy and had a taste to it that I can't describe. Like it wasn't meat. I had strawberry margaritas, they were so-so, they used...a strawberry flavored mix instead of real strawberries, and a low shelf tequila. Will probably give it one more try next time we go to La Paz, but won't order the burger and will ask for top shelf... View all feedback.
Located in the next block from the Hotel Perla, we wandered by here several times during our stay. It is definitely happening at night but we caught it one afternoon and sat street side. Good service. Good drinks. Good value. A liter of ale and...a piña colada totaled about $5 US.
We thought of drinks after cycling for 2 hours on the picturesquecon. the beers were good, fairly cheap and mostly* cold and the fresh cocktails were even better. we got what we thought it was frit, but it was actually chips (out of a bag)... with sauce blown up. very expensive and just meh.
There are many restaurants on this beachfront street, but this place was full so we decided to give it a try. waited 8 minutes before someone even came to delete the table and visit us. After we ordered the drinks, we decided to move to another table with shadow. big mistake. the waiter either dropped our drink order or we had to restart the entire process with the different waiter on the new table. in any case we waited for over 15 minutes to get our drinks. after the order of nachos with ranchera and white cheese, they brought dice meat with yellow (velveeta-ish) cheese. When we asked to change it, they told us they couldn't. after another 10 minutes and 3 waiters we could finally change it and get what we ordered. After the whole time had been waiting, the nacho was only moderately best. the ranchera meat almost tasted as if it were simply cooked, had no grill and no taste at all. the beans were very watery. they also sat a 10 group of people sitting on a 4 without saying most stood around us drinking and eating, blocking our views. decided to order a tarro (mug) large size and got a mini size cup?! the mistkerl down and we're gone! we later realized that we were calculated for the big cup instead of the mini size.
We had such a great time! The music/ ambiance was really good! The food and drinks really really good! But then at the end for paying, a guy, waiter not ours) came to us and said the price of the addition and said that...the machine to print it was broken... the price seems to be to much , so we aks for an addition by hand , while we calculated... In fact he try to make us paid more. Our real waiter came with the real addition, printed! He try to make us paid 200 peso more! Be carefull if you go !
Great place to watch people from elevated deck on patio or on sidewalk seating. Drinks cold and tasty from the beer, both bottles and tap, to mixed drinks. Servers very attentive and helpful with some wanting to practice their English. Ordered the Tradicional Burro which...was excellent. They also offered a menu from the BBQ place next door where my husband got ribs and fries, also good. Relaxed atmosphere in the day and easy to get a good seat, but as the night picks up it is packed even on week nights. Stopped here for our last drinks before heading off to the airport.
