Contribute Feedback What Alan R doesn't like about Kiosko El Trompo:
They got our order completely wrong then tried to charge us the price for what we should have had. We asked for a sandwich and they brought us a bocadillo, my pan pitta should have had cheese and salad with it as on the menu but came with just meat and a speck of avocado sauce. We asked for the avocado and were given a bit more sauce. Spoiled our trip to la Villa. View all feedback.
A place where there are very good camels, attentive and what you ask is very fast, very good prices for the great quality they give.
This is the central Café in the El Trompo shopping centre. There were plenty of people sitting here having coffee etc, so it looked an OK place to stop for a quick break. Should have checked TripAdvisor first. The waitress was very pleasant and smiled a lot. We placed our order, which was fairly simple. 3 ham and cheese croissants, 3 chocolate palmeras, 4 Cafe con leche and 2 Barraquitos. If you've never tried a Barraquito, do try one, but not here. We got 1 ham and cheese croissant, 2 toasted sandwiches and 3 palmeras in their original shop packaging, not even served on a plate or attempt to disguise they were just pre-packed, 4 Cafe con leches and 2 supposed Barraquitos. We've had a lot of these special local coffees and this was a very poor example, not even the slightest sign of frothy milk on the top. Very disappointing. Everything was edible but nothing special and definitely not what we ordered. We later ventured into the covered part of the shopping centre, which has some great Cafés, so if you are looking for somewhere for coffee and a snack, check out the other options available first.
Well, this is how you take the time to appreciate an atmosphere, isn 't it? And. also, to practice one 's language skills! As with many places in The Canaries, there 's, still, a sense of religion and military influences. And, here, a statue of Simon Bolivar, whom I shall investigate on Wikipedia. I had an interesting pot of lemon tea named Ramses, and favoured by ancient Egyptian Pharaohs) and full of 'health giving properties. Worth hunting down, although the Waiter was very gloomy!
