This is one of the jewels and restored our faith in Spanish food there being no paella in sight ! My starter of crispy prawns with avocado were so good I wasn 't interested in sharing any with my husband so cannot comment on his, other than it looked good. As you might expect, fish dominated the menu but most reassuringly there was fish of the day offering the possibility of frequent visits without boredom setting in. There was also the theatrical salted sea bass which looked interesting ! The staff were attentive without being obsequious and the decor calming and wonderfully understated however as a personal preference I 'm not a fan of distressed timber but it 's far from intrusive. We absolutely enjoyed our evening here and recommend it to all overs of good food.
Dropped in for a meal as booked with reception, for starters had the prawn in light batter, this was the best part of the meal, really good and our expectations were right up there. For the main course my wife ordered the duck, she said it was nice and she enjoyed it, myself I went for the stuffed chicken breast, there was a lot of meat, but parts of the chicken were dry, this came with Canary potatoes and mojo sauce and a jus. For dessert we both went for the chocolate soufflé, this was a total let down, before ordering this my wife had to ask for the dessert menu as we had waited for more than 15 minutes. When the soufflé arrived my wife put her spoon in and the spoon was coated with chocolate sauce, when mine went in and out, it was dry, this was never a soufflé, it was more of a chocolate cake, I should have said something but wanted to get back to the room as I was very tired. It is a nice enough restaurant but I was expecting a lot more from it.
Stylish and elegant restaurant. Delightful staff. Excellent service. All dishes well presented on plate. Top end pricing but not considered expensive for for this quality dining experience.
Lovely place, attentive service. Lovely food all though not sure the food rates the high prices. We are certainly foodie people so go to lots of fine dinning restaurants, so really don’t mind paying for quality but our main course lamb was really overcooked and quite disappointing. But our starters and desserts were wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and we did have a very enjoyable evening. I would certainly go again as one person in our party had the beef which was cooked perfect.
