We came across this restaurant while walking in the old harbour area of El Cotillo. Sight outside said Beer Battered Fish and Chips and that was the draw. We were not let down. The food here is well cooked and presented and at a reasonable Price too. Another attraction was the hosts Ian and Jacqui (who cooks the food). Lovely couple and Ian has a dry sense of humour. JACQUI is for sure the best cook in town; and beside of making very good and varied dishes, she making up the plate with love. Everything very fresh, very rich, delicious and with a lot of love. Different from other places in Cotillo!
This place was our saviour one night. We looked for places to eat that werent seafood and this was one of the only places that did lovely home cooked food with a great variety to choose from.

I can’t wait to visit El Toston in El Cotillo again in a few months, the food, drinks and hostess are in my opinion the best. I noticed that a lady made a unfair comment back in April ! I recall dining that particular evening as it was extremely busy and a family of 7 arrived without booking asking for a table. I remember this as the owners moved seating around inside to accommodate a wheelchair. I feel I is such a shame the about lady left a negative review after the owners made such a great effort to make them feel welcome and comfortable. I have worked in the hospitality industry most of my very old life and still can honestly say the food was exceptional and good value for money.
