Rolands Restaurant Bar - La Montana

Went twice to this bar which is located in south of the island. To get to the bar from north point takes 5-7 k pesos for mototaxi. However, it could be more convenient to rent motorbike and to come there. In this bar you can swim in nice beach and have great food and expensive drinks (Mojito 25k, Cuba Libre 20K). However, the atmosphere was amazing and I believe we were the first Kazakhs to visit the bar. I left my Kazakh flag there so when you go there do not be surprised to see a Blue Flag with a nomadic Eagle! Recommend this place but bring money with you! Beware that staff is very Caribbean and relaxed.

We had the best Mojito's here, they were so good we had a second round. The fish cooked on the grill is excellent and non of us had a bad meal. We highly recommend this stop but bring bug spray if you are coming for dinner.

It is a nice setting, with a very charming guy, Roland. The drinks are expensive and most importantly, we got sick (stomach) after drinking them.

After dinner we have a few drinks at the Roland's Bar: nice music, welcome by Roland behind the bar. Under the sky full of stars we rate as a beautiful experience. We haven't tried the food, so we can't evaluate it. The beach of Manzanillo is safe at night, even the police came to the party.

Roland's place was my favorite bar in Providencia (and I was there for 9 days). It is right on the beach and while you do not see the sun above the sea (it is just behind the hill) there were some spectacular heavens. There are also tropical palms hanging over the water and Roland played all my favorite reggae tunes. Roland is a charming man and on his game to ensure that drinks are served quickly and has great pride in his place. The sand is shaved several times a day and it takes care of him. The food is good and it will not be much fresher than to see that the fisherman bring it in and shortly before lunch and then choose which fish you want. Food service can be a bit slow, but the two cooks in the kitchen are hard working and it takes just a little time to cook. So you have a little patience and don't expect fast food. I didn't give 5* because it would be nice to have some more comfortable deck chairs and a few of them there are some hammocks, but usually someone in them. I loved the mood of this relaxed happy beach bar. Nothing fantastic, but perfect island vibes.
