It can be a little pricey but they're very good. Fresh fruit an A rating on their door! Please be patient though when coming here and don't be in a rush. Only two elder people running around trying to complete everyones order on their vast menu. . . They're very sweet people View all feedback.
What Lauren Tracey doesn't like about Chuchees:
Was here Tues. 03/28. Ordered online the turkey sandwich and fruit salad. Staff of 2 was super kind but hushedly speaking near the back counter when I came in to get my food. Didn’t really think anything of that til later on when I contracted some pretty gnarly food poisoning. Hopefully it was just a coincidence but my sickness definitely was not. Food was tasty tho but not worth the 3 days I spent puking. View all feedback.
Great healthy food. the personal is friendly and the place looks clean. in any case recommend.
The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and the tostilocos were the best.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, and the portions are large. The service is fantastic, especially the older gentleman who is always kind and sweet. This place holds so much nostalgia for me, and I love coming here.
I had a craving for tostilocos and elote, and this restaurant definitely hit the spot. The tostilocos were perfectly topped and delicious, although I wished they had included more chips. Fortunately, I usually order extra on the side. The elote was also very flavorful and definitely one of the best I've had in San Diego. If you plan to take the tostilocos to go, I recommend asking for the chips on the side to prevent them from getting soggy. Despite not having any issues with soggy chips myself, I couldn't stop eating them because they were just so delicious!
I informed the waiter that I didn't want anything spicy, but he insisted on giving me green salsa. I was shocked. If you enjoy very sweet tostilocos, then this is the place for you. When I tried to return them politely, the waiter was extremely rude. I have never tried tostilocos that were so sweet before. Where is the spice? The only spice I could taste was Tajin. SMH!
