Contribute FeedbackMe and my girls love it there the great customer service
I feel compelled to share my experience. I left the army 47 years ago, and throughout my travels, I had never encountered any negativity regarding my service—until about three years ago. An older gentleman accused me of being too young to have served during the Vietnam Era. I often find myself agreeing with that claim, especially if it’s in jest or in solidarity with fellow veterans. My service was only Stateside, so I don’t claim any particular valor; it's not something I boast about. That day in the bar, this man was quite vocal about his accusations, loudly labeling me a liar, among other things. Everyone in the bar was taken aback, but I soon realized that the bar manager has a soft spot for this guy. I see how it is. Unfortunately, this has dragged on for three years. My fellow veterans often joke about why this man is still around—easy answer: I really don’t want to end up in prison for a long time. When I get riled up, it can be hard to control myself. To make matters worse, this guy seems to have a classic case of "short man's disease." He drinks to blackout and has a reputation among the bartenders there. He tends to insult other regular customers, especially the men. Whenever he directed his vitriol at me, the bar manager just stood by silently as this man raged on endlessly with not a word from the bartenders. Is he looking for a bar fight? He acts like a fool. As for my fellow veterans, it's your choice whether you want to support this establishment with your business. The owners seem completely unaware of the environment in their bar. The rest of the staff was great, but unfortunately, they’re burdened by the actions and attitude of the individual who runs the bar.
This is my favorite local bar! I absolutely adore it! The drinks are fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the seating is really comfortable!
When I stayed at the marquee, I visited almost every weekend.
Good hour
