It is very easy to drive to this viewpoint but I reached it as the climax of a circular walk from La Malene. There's a cafe up there but it was closed when I was there. Perhaps it was still out of season on a weekday in May. View all feedback.
What Luce Bernier doesn't like about Panorama du Roc des Hourtous:
Le tenancier de ce restaurant était très accueillant. Quant à la nourriture, nous n'avons mangé qu'un en-cas, très bon, l'endroit est propre, les boissons sont bien fraîches. La terrasse est en surplomb du Tarn avec vue imprenable. View all feedback.

Located on the south side of the Tarn. Access by minor road. Large grassy car park. Small admission fee charged for viewpoint a short walk beyond cafe souvenir shop. No english spoken, but information sheet provided in range of languages. Stunning views across the gorge and down to the river. Not a restaurant.
We stopped at this viewpoint during a month long cycling trip in France. We bought coffee and sat at the small tables in a dry dusty dirty area. To get to the viewpoint you must pass through this restaurant. The worst was a sign inside the small one person bathroom that I am quite sure says you are being filmed!(vous etre en filme). Shocking! Avoid this place.
Not a lot apart from the view and it is a bit vertiginous but from the viewing point you get a view that can't be bettered outside the Grand Canyon.
A déconseiller, faire payer 1€50 la vue alors que le point sublime est gratuit , chercher l'erreur !!!
