I ate here with my family for lunch and while the setting was very nice, and the service reasonably good, the food was just okay with some of the ingredients seemingly store bought and/or frozen as opposed to fresh. I was also surprised at the total cost for our meal as it was easily about four times more (literally) than what we paid at other, similar, dining spots in the area. I was actually shocked. Lllegamos a comer a medio día. No tenían la langosta del menú. Ordenamos camarones al tequila, costillas bbq y un sashimi de atún (así estaba en el menú). La recepción fue amable hasta que llegó el plato de atún, que no era sashimi (pescado crudo aquí y en China). Lo que trajeron fue un atún sellado (cuya foto puede verse aquí mismo). Alegaron que era una "sahimi hawawiano" (?).Devolvimos el plato y la gerente, que hasta ese momento había sido amable, adoptó una pésima actitud. Poco tiempo después una mesera muy amable acudió a nuestra mesa a preguntarnos si queríamos que volvieran a preparar el plato con pescado crudo. Le dijimos que sí, pero minutos después regresó apenada, pues la gerente no le había autorizado que se volviera a preparar el plato. Ni modo. Al momento de pagar nos trajeron la cuenta con el plato rechazado incluido. Después de protestar lo retiraron. Ante el pésimo servicio decidimos no dejar propina y explicar por qué lo hacíamos. Para nuestra sorpresa, la gerente nos siguió hasta la entrada del hotel/restaurante reclamando que no hubiéramos dejado propina, diciendo que no regresáramos nunca jamás (como si alguien que recibiera ese trato tuviese la menor intención de regresar a su establecimiento). Se negó a proporcionar los datos de contacto del dueño. Terrible experiencia. Es una lástima, porque las costillas bbq estaban buenas,
The location on the terrace overlooking Manzanillo Bay was wonderful. Very good drinks and we all loved our Quesadilla Shrimp appetizer. Shared garden salads were decent. Three of us loved our entrees: grilled octopus, shrimp with cream sauce and cheeseburger. The ahi does not escape so...much – a large plate of Ahi, which was too chewing, almost gristy and not edible. The prices here are quite high for the Troncones range, an invoice in the US price class.
We always enjoy the excellent food and service at the Terrace Restaurant! The menu develops every year with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We especially enjoyed the new beach deck and dining tables, a great upgrade with comfortable chairs and improved lighting. The Margaritas are the best in Troncones!
The variety of the menu was surprising! During our 8-day stay we tried to get every article, but just not. Everything was delicious, well cut and nicely plated. The drinks were also delicious and the Slice of Life is a must...try!
We recently took a vacation to Troncones and stayed at the Inn at Manzanillo Bay where this restaurant is located. We were impressed by the strict observance of safety protocols.The menu has a wide variety of inventive choices with an emphasis on quality ingredients cooked...to perfection. Service was smooth and professional. Excellent wine list and top notch margaritas. Highly recommended.
