We had heard this was a wonderful stop for a leak. It was rainy and we were cold and wet but decided that we would brave the cold and get their ice cream. It was amazing!! So sweet and creamy!!! We had 12 in our group and tried most of the flavors. Everyone loved their choice. I also tried a dark chocolate turtle and it was delicious. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop!! What B A Borkenheim doesn't like about The Chocolate Haus:
This review is for the ice cream only. Flavors are nice, but the consistency is hard, icy, and not creamy at all. The ice creams feel as if they have been frozen for. Very long time T extremely low temperatures. The confections look lovely, but i am Uber to rate because we did not try them. The young women helping us was lovely. View all feedback.

Good variety of chocolates. I asked about ingredients and they showed me them and its a tiny list w/no hydrogenated oils or sea salt or even corn syrup. I picked out many, 8 for $20. Its a bit pricey, for more and more chocolate the price skyrockets. Worker bees are super friendly and professional!!
I usually just go to Sees but never again. Now I know what true quality is. I was given chocolates from here as a Christmas gift and I've never in my life had anything better. I can have one and they are so satisfying I usually have 4 from other chocolatiers. All I can say is I'm very impressed
I'm personally not a chocolatier, but I hardly ever visit La Jolla these days without grabbing a scoop of my favorite ice cream in the world key lime! There's some graham cracker crumble mixed in which adds perfect texture to this already tasty treat. All their flavors i've tried are impressive by the way. I snuck a spoonful out of my daughter's strawberry it tasted more strawberry than an actual strawberry. :)And this is not even labeled as an ice cream shop. And it was only $3 each cup which was a medium sized scoop by any gelato/ice cream shop's measure. An unbeatable price!AND the server gave us complimentary chocolate dipped oreos!!!
Pete the owner has yummy offerings at this little gem on Turquoise. I had a much needed espresso and a chocolate dipped Oreo. My girls chose these adorable lollipops, and we were all very happy! Can't wait to try the ice cream!
