Tandoori Chef - La Jolla

This restaurant is fantastic and features a wonderful buffet. I have dined at many Indian restaurants all over San Diego and this is one of the best. My only suggestion would be to include rice pudding on the buffet instead of their mango mousse. However, the mango mousse they offer is also very tasty, just a bit too sweet for my liking. Overall, this is a great spot that I would rate 4 1/2 stars if possible. You will not be disappointed here! If you enjoy this restaurant, I recommend trying Tandoori Hut in Hillcrest as well, as it is owned by the same person.

The Indian cuisine at this restaurant is excellent - not too spicy or greasy. Although there is only street parking available, it is located a bit far from the upscale La Jolla area so finding a spot should not be too difficult. The restaurant offers good seating options and a lunch buffet. I visited with my team for the buffet and found the prices to be reasonable with plenty of tasty choices. For dinner, we usually order takeout from Eat24. Like most Indian restaurants, there are plenty of vegetarian options available.

The food at this restaurant is not only amazing, but the service is also excellent. The portions are generous enough to share amongst two or three people.

Flavorful but delicate sauces. Perfectly embellished Entree. Excellent hot soup.
