I finally found a sweet and very tasty place to eat where they are still sitting, serving you and treat an experience...so tired of places you stand in the line to take your food a number, ask their tip in advance, and if busy bus your own table and still expect a tip in advance before you see or taste your food... our server has a nice tip bc they did. One of the popular brunch places in San Diego. This place seems always full of people, glad that you can join in waitlist on Yelp, we joined online and waited around 1 hour on Saturday morning.Food is pretty good, and price is fair. But they are so busy so the service is just ok. And we waited around 25-30 minutes for our food. But at least they can split the plates for you if you are sharing the food, which is very continent.
We love the Hillcrest location and took a chance when we found the La Jolla location. We were told the wait would be almost 45 minutes...unless we wanted bar seating...we did! Enjoyed the quick service, delicious ? YUMMY food, and fantastic music playing!Tried the special, Mocha Espresso something or another pancakes and almost fainted they are sooooooooo delicious!!! We'll definitely be back...and looking for bar seating!Parking: Be patient. It's La Jolla.
My family and I love traveling. This morning, we didn't have a clue where to have breakfast. We bumped into this little restaurant family atmosphere, eggs ham Benedict and hash browns amazing, we also loved the hot Chai tea. It was a cold morning in La jolla. U do recommend arriving early for sitting availability, and we noticed the later in the morning, the influx of people increased. Busy busy!!!!!!
This spot is super cute. For food; everything was pretty good. I normally prefer a savory breakfast/brunch but they gave us a free walnut pancake that was sooooooo good!!!! It was sweet but not too sweet (the secret to any asian's heart LOL). The eggs Benedict was pretty okay. It was extremely filling but the tomato made the bread soggy. My only real feedback would be that it would be nice to see more variations for breakfast sandwiches that aren't packed with hash or potato's. Sometimes I just crave a classic bacon, egg cheese! The service is super friendly and kind! They were quick to bring any requests out. The ambiance is the real winner here. This chain's branding is cute and it's got a fun vibe for catching up with friends. There is a decent wait on the weekends but that's standard for anywhere that's good. Location is great because you can run to grab philz, shop at sephora or grab groceries right after.
Most times when making a restaurant review, you're just praising or criticizing the food. Hopefully, you can throw in a paragraph or two about the service and atmosphere. It's not often, however, that I eat out at a diner and I mainly want to wax fondly about my experience of just sitting there over the course of a few hours.Earlier this year, my wife had to undergo surgery at the nearby Scripps Green. After dropping her off early in the morning, I was told that I had a good 5-6 hours before I would be able to visit and see how everything turned out. Checking out my options in the local area, I found that Snooze was my earliest and most convenient choice. Stopping in just as they were opening, I grabbed myself an open table and asked if it was OK if I just hung around while I waited. The restaurant itself sports a retro, 70s atmosphere that my uncle would love. Orange and forest green are the dominant colors, with red and blue accents and simple star symbols abounding all around. It's kind of what I imagined Disneyland's Tomorrow Land looked like when it first opened. It was quiet at first, I had the entire place to myself at 6:30 in the morning. But, it quickly filled up to capacity as the brunch crowd trickled in. Still, even after there was a crowd waiting at the door and I asked if they needed the space, I was allowed to keep my seat without complaint or side-eye from any of the staff. It made for a much less stressful morning.I started my visit with a mug of their coffee. This is not something I drink regularly, so I'm not a good judge of blends and flavors. But, I do know that the mug kept getting refilled and they gave me fresh creamer and sugar when I asked over the course of the whole morning without hassle. To eat, I had the Sandwich, I Am, scrambled eggs and sausage on a pretzel bun with a side of hollandaise sauce. It was juicy, the eggs very well cooked, nicely-seasoned, the bun giving a good amount of salt, and an overall enjoyable breakfast. In the end, a great place to sit and enjoy yourself and the food is definitely worth a shot from what little I've had so far. It's difficult to say that I'll ever be out this way again this early in the morning. Still, if I ever have the chance to do so, this is an easy choice to make when looking for a good place for breakfast in the future.
