This place has the most amazing fruit tea ever. I am not a fruit tart type of person, but here it is made perfection. When I fly home to see family and friends, I have so many requests to the fruit cake and have to fly it home for everyone. Every single person I have given a tart loves it so much. Your carmelmousse is also amazing. It's lighter and bittersweet. If you like a sweeter dessert, the Elby is very popular.... View all feedback.
Excellent delicious cakes. He sells quickly, so if you want a variety, come to the shop early or order a few days in advance. I probably tried everything here, and the Tiramisu and fruitcakes are my favorites.
I've been coming here for ten years? The owner is softly spoken and polite, clean room. Best espresso I ever had and the cakes? Definitely worth a try. Seiji-san mixes French bakery techniques with Japanese flavors and the result is exceptional. Never too sweet and always presented with such a refreshing feeling. The Elby starts to find harder and harder, but you can special order slices and whole cake well before the time. Tiramisu, cheesecake, cake, strawberry cake, you have to taste them all! Please support this business, the owner has clearly dedicated his life to his craft!
This is my favorite cake shop in the world, and really takes me back to growing up in Japan. The owner has a high standard of excellence and I recommend his shop to everyone I know, and we all love it! So beautiful and tasty! The birthday cake and fruit tart are definitely my favorites.
I love Sage! Sage has been in the Convoy area for a very long time. If you like chocolate, get the Elby! It's delicious!
I love Sage Cake. I always come here whenever I want a pick me up. The Strawberry short cake never disappoints me. There is always a nice variation of cakes each time I go. There isn't a huge selection, but I think it is because they pay very close attention to details. Plus each of them taste great. When you buy your cake in a take out box, they sometimes add a few pieces of dry ice. I've never seen a pastry shop do that. Your cake is the perfect temperature by the time you get home. The shop is small, and you can sometimes see the owner baking in the back. This is my favorite cake shop in San Diego. Their cakes have the perfect amount of sweetness. Compared to Extroidinary desserts where I have to take a few sips of water after each bite.
