Great food and for a great price! Highly recommended. Definitely fresher than a subway or Jersey Mikes. Time to leave the chain restaurants behind and have some real hearty meals made with love. Come check it out, you won't be disappointed! View all feedback.
What Shantal B doesn't like about Mission Bell Deli:
Over priced!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food isn't worth it (price and at times taste). I think their prices are high due to their location. BUT it seems like it more greed than location. View all feedback.
I decided to try the tuna sandwich on a croissant and a hoagie packed with turkey, ham, and salami because I simply couldn’t decide. Nancy, with her warm and patient demeanor, truly made my day as she prepared my two sandwiches to perfection. I began with the tuna, planning to save half for later, but the croissant was so fluffy and the sandwich so beautifully constructed—neither soggy nor falling apart—that I couldn’t resist finishing it all at once. The second sandwich was meant for dinner, yet I devoured it within an hour of the first. I was equally impressed by the hoagie roll, which was perfectly soft yet crispy, accompanied by flavorful meats and cheeses, all topped with fresh vegetables. A well-made sandwich is definitely something to cherish! I encourage everyone to support their local deli; this particular spot is less than a mile from my home, and I can assure you, I’ll be a regular here. I’ll keep you posted as I sample everything on their menu!
I work nearby and visit Mission Bell Deli several times a week. I can always count on getting a delicious sandwich and excellent customer service.
I went there for the first time and I wasn 't sure what to get so I asked the lady what would she recommend (also, to make sure I get something fresh that hasn 't been sitting in the freezer for a while) and her response was very unhelpful, saying: I don 't know . Once I decided what to get, I looked at the menu (that is up on the wall) and asked if I could have extra sauces in my sandwiches and she replies with: I don 't have any of them .. well, maybe you shouldn 't have them up on the menu then?! Before paying for my sandwiches I wanted to grab a bag of chips and she saw me picking one, when I went to pay for it I noticed that they were expired, once I told her she said: oh yeah these are expired I didn 't have time to get them off of the shelves , Really?!?! You saw me grabbing one and you didn 't say they were expired, hoping that I wouldn 't notice it, let alone selling expired food in first place. After all that, the sandwiches were whatever. Definitely not going there again nor am I recommending anyone to go.
First, this is a bodega not really a deli. It's pretty good for bodega food, but unless you live or work here, just make a sandwich at home. Friendly service.
You can truly savor the care they put into their sandwiches, and they make an effort to remember your name and face.
