It's been about 8 years now since I left SD, and this place has kept its food quality. It's one of those place that you didn't think much of because it's located near a college (UCSD) and you thought how good can college food be? Don't be fooled by that. Their herb rice is perfectly cooked, their kebabs (fish, chicken, etc) are juicy and tasty! The tea is a great complement to the food as well. I'm glad this place is still here. Good service and overall ambiance, while not fancy, is welcoming and comfortable.
This place is the most authentic Persian food that I’ve ever eaten at. I frequent many Persian restaurants in LA and still haven’t found one that come close. If you love kebobs and authentic middle eastern flavors and most of all quality, then this is the place for you!!
If he has been around since 1995, it can not taste that bad. Healthy and homemade meals full if taste at an affordable price is a winner. Not 5 stars flavor but 5 stars overall. Call in advance as orders usually take 20-30 min to make. He literally rotates the skewers, it is a craft. Mad respect in this day of fast and tik everything...
