Greenfinch Restaurant Bar - La Jolla

We had a delightful brunch here! The atmosphere is stunning, and the service is outstanding. The food was top-notch and incredibly tasty! I ordered gluten-free pancakes topped with fresh berries, without butter, and they were wonderfully fluffy! They reminded me of what regular pancakes used to taste like, and I even playfully asked the chef for his secret, which he happily shared! My partner chose the breakfast with cranberry chicken sausage and eggs, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee drinks are full of flavor, and they offer dairy-free options for cappuccinos and lattes. Chef Vincent not only manages the menu but also attends to the tables. He came over to check on us, and we had a lovely chat. I noticed his meticulous attention to detail while setting a table, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged. This is a chef who truly enjoys his craft! We will definitely return to dine here again when we visit Estancia!

I made a reservation for Thanksgiving brunch with my family, hoping for a special experience. I chose this restaurant because of its lovely atmosphere, great views, and quality food—I’ve been there many times before. I confirmed my reservation over the phone and even increased the number from 4 to 6 guests. However, when we arrived, they had no record of our reservation for 6 and nearly didn't seat us at all. Ultimately, we were placed in a large, empty ballroom with no other diners. We spent about 1.25 hours there, and there were open tables in the main dining area, where live music and a better ambiance awaited. Our total bill came to $641.33 for brunch in that empty ballroom. I must note that the wait staff was excellent, but overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we were hosting two other couples.

I had a fantastic breakfast here! The food was delicious, and the ambiance was lovely as well. I really appreciated the interior design, and the tables were spaced out nicely, so you don’t feel crowded at all!

The atmosphere was perfect, we sat in the terrace with magnificent views of their courtyard. the staff was friendly and efficient. my omelet was delicious.
