Drift Kitchen Mezcal - La Jolla

A lovely restaurant with thoughtful staff! We came here on a Thursday and it was so lively! Came back on a regular weekday and it was a romantic calm vibe. The staff were nice enough to make us a dish that was only available on Thursdays. The nachos with tuna chicharron is highly recommended! Mucho gracias :

Wonderful mezcal list, charming ambiance, and super helpful bartender. Kendall is a gem and very knowledgeable about the mezcal, pax, and prieto whiskey collection.

This place was the best… had some amazing food and drinks and the overall experience was amazing. It’s located inside of Drift Hotel, right off the street of Miguel Hidalgo, and it really feels like a speakeasy that not many people know about. I suggest checking this place out and asking the bartenders for food and drink recs. Everything I had was delicious!

We came to Drift Kitchen and Mezcal bar after being told about it from a friend. They have been improving and remodeling the area for a while and it is fabulous! A modern chic design but very elegant and cozy. We came in for drinks and ended up staying for dessert as we had the most amazing server, Juan Carlos. We each ordered a margarita on the rocks (it was perfect and made from scratch). Our server Juan Carlos was very friendly, attentive, courteous, and very personable. He answered all of our questions about the drinks and their food menu. We enjoyed his company so well, we decided to stay for more drinks and dessert (coconut flan with fruit topping). Oh my goodness, it was the best we have ever had. Thank you Juan Carlos for the amazing time. We will be back.
