Restaurant Auberge Edelweiss - La Grave

This restaurant is in the Auberge Edelweiss hotel and the menu is varied and changes regularly, always excellent, and has a wonderful wine selection....well worth dining here!

A three night stay having driven from the coast in classic cars, Robin took the trouble to make sure we were all parked safely before serving cold beers to wash the dust from the road! The rooms are excellent, clean and comfortable, breakfast copious and evening meals delicious, ‘haute cuisine’. Robin and Marlon are a great, hard working team, their staff friendly and super efficient all round great stay. Oh and if you can persuade Robin to break out his guitar you’ll be treated to some brilliant blues playing.

It seems that this address looks like the best in la Grave but it does not mean that it is great. First of all, we did not find the welcome by the owners or their behavior particularly friendly during our stay. It seems that they are happy to get your money. It’s a very old house with a wooden frame; so don’t be surprise if it is noisy. You can hear your neighbors very well. On the other hand, it is well decorated and maintained as well as clean. They have a great sauna place downstairs, which is quite unusual for this class of hotel. Well done! But please, can you put some more lights in your restaurant place? It is so dark. Can you also put a door at the kitchen as well as a stronger ventilation. It can be so terribly smelly in the corridors...

Very beautiful terrace overlooking the glaciers and away from the road, the hotel's restaurant with a very refined cuisine and a map of the impressive wines, very welcoming patterns and young and smiling staff. and to finish the rooms are very pretty. An address to remember Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
