Olipollo - La Grange
Olipollo
Description
Tucked along the road between Columbus and Louisville, this family-run Peruvian rotisserie earns praise for moist, aromatic chicken, caramelized plantains, and bold, well-seasoned sides. Friendly, attentive owners and staff create a welcoming, casual vibe; picnic-table outdoor seating and reliable takeout make it ideal for road-trippers and locals seeking a flavorful, affordable alternative to chain fast food. A few diners noted occasional inconsistencies with fries and corn and an awkward restroom location, but overall the eatery is celebrated as a memorable, value-driven stop.

Wow, this meal is amazing! The restaurant serves both Peruvian cuisine and American classics. Do yourself a favor and try the Peruvian dishes—they're absolutely fantastic and should be approachable for everyone. If you choose to add the chicken sauce, you get the best of both worlds. Both options are delightful and don’t require any extra seasoning. This is a great opportunity to explore delicious foods that you might not normally venture to try. Seriously, you won't regret it!
Delicious food at a great price! I had the rotisserie chicken with green beans, yuca, steak, and fries, and everything was spot on. I’m already looking forward to trying more dishes from their extensive menu. This is definitely my go-to place now that I'm in the area!
Wonderful local restaurant! The owner truly puts a lot of pride into this family establishment, both in the quality of the food and the level of service.
The food was excellent. The rotisserie chicken was flavorful and incredibly moist. The plantains and sautéed green beans were also delicious. My only regret was ordering the quarter chicken—I should have opted for the half chicken for just a bit more. It was so tasty that I wished I had more, especially since I was pretty hungry. The only unusual aspect was that the men's restroom is located at the back of the restaurant, which isn't typical for most dining establishments. However, it makes sense considering the place's previous layout as a drive-in catering to more outdoor customers than indoor diners. If you're on a road trip and looking for something different from the usual fast-food fare of burgers and fries, I highly recommend stopping here. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area!
