Was pleasantly surprised to find this upscale urban vibe coffee/sandwich/ice cream shop on my way through La Grande. It's bright, airy, with several comfortable seating areas. Every single thing I ordered was tasty, but the breakfast pop tart really stood out. The ice cream flavors are more traditional (no crazy concoctions) which I appreciated.... really creamy delicious. My husband and I went there today and we waited about 45 minutes for our food. They gave our order to the wrong person and they tried to chase her down and when I had started I was not comfortable taking the food if it had left the premises the girls working gave me an attitude. We love this spot! We are traveling through and are always on the lookout for local coffee shops and The Local is SO awesome! It has such a cool design, we love the indoor outdoor vibe, and the coffee and food we have had has been delicious! It has been a great place to work for a couple days, with solid wifi and enough seating outlets.
Cute place, great service, great atmosphere and the sandwich was really good.
