I had a fantastic experience with the Korean food here, and the parking situation is much better than in K-Town. While you shouldn’t expect any spectacular views and they are a bit short-staffed like many places these days, the food really impressed me. The young man working was honest and friendly when he informed me about a 20-minute wait for the food. The seafood pancake was excellent, and the tofu soup with pork... View all feedback.
What Paul L doesn't like about Myung Dong Tofu House:
Walked in at 1155amWas not greeted. Waiter walked up and muttered the store hours (indicating we were 5 minutes early) i offered to leave. He said it was okay. I asked to order. He asked for a minute and shook his head as if i offended him for even speaking. I got up and left. View all feedback.
This place is my local top spot for hot pot. My favorite dish is the clam tofu soup, which arrives boiling hot along with all the little kbbq side dishes egg. Seafood muscle tofu soup are also winners. My husband always gets the galbi beef my kiddo gets the kids' chicken rice. Kids meal comes with glass noodles, yum. Staff is nice, literally everything is delicious.
I absolutely LOVE their food. They have large portion sizes too. Here's what I recommend: Beef Bulgogi, Galbi Short Ribs, Kimchi Tofu, Seafood Pancake. Everything here tastes like my mom's cooking, but better. They also don't skimp on the banchan! I've never been in the restaurant, we only order via Postmates.
This place is such a hidden gem. The tofu soup is one of the best I’ve ever had, bibimbap portions are massive, and the banchan selection is great. Definitely recommend to anyone that’s searching for authentic Korean flavors!
Great spot for some tofu soup! For the price of your meal and amount of food you get I will definitely be coming back here! I got the clay pot bimbap and added my choice of tofu soup for an extra $4! I like that this place lets you choose any soup you want and doesn't limit your choices too! Only downside is service can be slow so just be patient!
I went in there New Year's Eve 2022 on a rainy night and the place was empty. However, I absolutely love bibimbap in the hot clay pot with the rice sticking to the bowl, all nice and brown and crunchy. I was hoping they'd have a vegan option. Bingo! I ordered mine with tofu, greens, and other veggies with the side of mushroom tofu soup in a smaller bubbling hot clay pot for only $3 extra. It was perfect! I also love the little appetizer bowls with kimchee, cucumber, bean sprouts and whatever else they might have, this night was potatoes in a sweet sauce. I went back again on Jan. 2, 2023 with a girlfriend and we shared the same thing I ordered above but they slipped up and put scrambled egg (I'm vegan) so we just removed it and tried the veggie tofu soup on the side. They had mung bean cake instead of the potatoes for the apps. Their Korean pancake made with mung bean and veggies was also yummy. My girlfriend loved it and is planning to go back with family. She has lived there for at least 6 months and didn't know about the place.
