Having visited La Chatre many times over the last few years we had often thought about buying a little house here to renovate and use when visiting, so after finally finding our perfect home we decided to visit L'Escargot and celebrate with what has always been recommended as the best place to eat locally. What Koltrip doesn't like about À l'Escargot:
We were 11 2 children arriving after booking table same day. We were warmly welcomed and the restaurant were very cosy. No guests except us. The waiters were a little nervous and it took some time until everything was ordered. Food was ok but nothing special. Since this restaurant have a red fork/knife I expected more. An unexpected treasureMy partner loved his giant pork chop, tender and juicy.
The façade would need a refreshment but the quality of the meal is present. little waiting between dishes despite a full room I recommend this restaurant
The building in itself is very aggressive and temoigne of its pass. reception is very formal, a little cold, but efficient and professional. but the wait is very long. 45 minutes to receive a shower and an hour to serve the interns. food in itself is good, but sometimes there are too many flavors (some of which are not on the map) that do not necessarily marry well together. The plates are very copyy, it is difficult to get to finish everything.

The front of the restaurant does not break three legs to a duck but the inside is cute and the reception is very warm, the staff is listening and very kind. The dishes are as beautiful as good. It's a restaurant I recommend.
