It's really unusual, but so amazing that it's closed!
Small restaurant or eat well I recommend it
Restaurant with a wonderful name. We had a very good evening with the sparkling Babeth. Thank you for the simple and friendly French cuisine and especially for the superb cooking lesson given to our children. We'll be back!
Place to avoid because really too unusual reception as decor and kitchen
We biked from the Canal de Briare to see the chateau at La Bussiere (everything and so much more than you want to know about fishing) and then looked for a place for lunch. Just about the only restaurant was Insolite, which looked more like a bar than a restaurant but it had a 12.50 menu. It was crowded with locals for lunch, always a good sign. And then we were stunned by the meals we were served. Subtle salads, huge servings and a marmite de fruits de mer that was among the best meals we've had in nearly two years living on a boat in France. This is one of those tiny French bistros in which somebody in the kitchen knows just what he is doing and cares to do it well. Better than well, with excellence. This place was truly a surprise. You won't be disappointed and will find a taste of authentic France.
