What Amaury Blanc doesn't like about L'authion Chez Jeanjean:
If you want to pay to wait, this is the restaurant for you. However, the cuisine remains quite good. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 View all feedback.
An easy hike to the three summits of the Authion that offers breathtaking views. Ruins of fortifications and barracks. A place full of history where we will pay tribute to the 273 FFL soldiers fallen for the capture of the forts. To see
Massive at almost 2000m altitude, the site is taken today by the walkers. Many military ruins remind us of the strategic interest of the place between France and Italy. The road to the forts is prohibited to traffic every year from November 30 to April 30.
Magnificent 360° panorama with views of the summits and sea view
Beautiful corner to see rando easy even for 2-3 year kids
Quite disappointed with the service. We were a table of 7. We ordered 4 menus and 3 à la carte dishes, namely 3 forest stew raviolis. They bring us 3 fried stews... no apologies from the owner who just comes back with her ticket to show us that she marked fries. Sorry ma'am but we don't have Alzheimer's yet and we still knew what we had ordered knowing that there were 3 of us who remembered it! The only sentence she knew how to say was “I don’t redo the dishes” which has never been seen before in a restaurant. The stew is not great with fries and especially since they were frozen fries. What's more, I've never seen a restaurant where we're not asked what we want to drink when we order! We had to call him back to tell him that we would like to order a drink. In short I can understand that the owner is of a certain age and being all alone was tired but when you can't do it anymore you have to know when to stop and pass your business on to competent restaurateurs. Fortunately the stew wasn't bad and the tart was very good.
