We like to come and eat in this exceptional setting on La Baule. We live in Tsahal and arrive at the Baule all the holidays of Scolaire and never miss a visit to this establishment! In summer, we like to take the aperitif on the roof .. The team is always very professional: Marlène is adorable and Maxime is a magician! Beautiful building, we entered by a door overlooking the bar and the kitchen, a nice music and a good welcome! But once at our table the great silence... Return to this beautiful Art Deco villa since its reopening by a new direction that displays its ambition in the field of hospitality and gastronomy. For a dinatory aperitif, we test the Rooftop recently opened and that is actually a beautiful vegetated terrace overlooking the roofs of the city and at the level of the large maritime pines. Unfortunately the praises stop there. We actually expect to choose tapas from the level we can expect from a restaurant of this standing. The menu is very basic (some rillettes from the sea, humus, ham rag, raw vegetables with white cheese sauce, tataki tuna... In addition, the quantities are very modest and offered at excessive prices. The products are good but we come here to eat something other than in any beach bistro (three chosen dishes: humus, raw vegetables and ham from Vendée . In my opinion, an internship in St Sebastian (Spanish Basque Country) would allow you to discover beautiful tapas and pinchos in any restaurant in the city. To be consistent with the gastronomic ambitions displayed, the dishes should be more worked, more original and more flattering (mini brochettes, mini burgers, seafood, varied planks, more sophisticated toasts... the field is vast. If it is a question of offering just an aperitif on the terrace, some cheap classical accompaniments would suffice. There, given the price requested, we wait more especially at La Baule. In short, with a small bottle of a correct Chinon, the aperitif is shipped in 3/4 hours and one ends on his hunger if one doesn't want to get the addition up without winning in pleasure. The service is casual and a bit clumsy with servers not very aware of what they serve. As a result, we are reluctant to test the restaurant that offers refined dishes, at the risk of being in front of homeopathic portions and finally disappointed too. We may fear that communication will prevail over gastronomy. Too bad!

We spent the evening on the roof of the hotel, this evening group of jazz (two times a month) , pretty intimist decoration: furniture in rattan ,coussins , view on baulois pines, cocktail bar. We tasted tapas from an exquisite freshness made of local produce: eightres de Mesquer, terrines, cheese, strawberries, a special mention for the tuna tataki! As with the hotel's restaurant, the staff is charming, in small care and very professional. A must-see address, both between friends and in the head. It's better to arrive early and book.
We went in the evening to have a drink... very nice place, lovely staff. Cocktails are delicious. I recommend.
