Stunning place with beautiful seats, good food and ambience. Very convenient location within the Kyoto station. Really enjoyed beef with garlic rice, cooks prepare food before you, very entertaining. Friendly staff, clean place. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wabiya Zanmai (kintetsu Meitengai Miyakomichi Store):
One would expect some action in a Teppanyaki restaurant but the chef was quiet and the only hot plate area is in one corner. Edit: it seems a younger chef who is inexperienced there’s another older chef which later took over. Shame. Ordered the beef but it tasted like a bad cut of meat. ‘Fatty chewy’ kind. Excellent lunch with fast service, experienced a continuous stream of customers and some have to wait outside the restaurant for their seats.
Overall not bad for what it is, the yakitoris are very so so
Great service and great food! Okonomiyaki was great! The Kyoto Style Tofu Salad was amazing. The tofu was so rice and fresh. 9/10
The Kyoto Tofu salad was excellent. The Japanese egg omelette was also very tasty. We also ordered the 6 skewer set and they were all very nice tasting except for the chicken one (innards part). I would come again!
Locals eat here so it must be good and it is surprisingly good. Try the egg and the pig okonomiyai. Skewers are also good. Many wise drinks.
