What User doesn't like about Shishin Samurai:
Although there was one set of samurai armor and some recipes that reportedly dated to samurai times, we expected more samurai ambience. The food was good but not really special. Although online comments indicated the prices would be relatively inexpensive, we thought the prices were high for what we received, in comparison to other restaurants with similar quality/quantity food we visited in Japan. This is a tourist place where they do not find native. the first waiter was not-commandtal about which items are vegan, but the second confirmed that the vegetarian tasting menu could be vegan. Nevertheless, it felt as if I had drawn teeth that want to get information. service is very slow meal times come in batches, a single type of meal at the same time to all tables it ordered (like a single cook in the kitchen). so if they are accompanied by a different menu of them, their dishes will not come at the same time. the waiter also took his sweet time with another table for ten minutes about travel etc. without speaking our order. the food was ok, but after the tasting menu, I left to no longer ideal if they pay 100k yen for two people. the whole experience was not worth it, and it is obvious why native it did not often. instead go to Renkon-ya or saishuan shiraki, for a truly authentic, fantastic experience.
Would have been a four-star if the fried Tofu court had not survived with a fish topping! it must be very clear, it is not a fish or meat, even if it says veg on menu

This little spot is unbelievable and different from any other. here the integrity of the samurai continues to live in a traditional Japanese style, which goes further than the sum of the ages. learning about the lifestyle was just a bonus for the meal; that was always more delicious with every bite! the waiting staff was friendly and adapted to the vegetarian cure to a vegan style. as my friends go so far to say, it was the best bark they ever had. a call to reserve a place is ideal as they have limited seats that fill out quickly. here we had no problems with communication, they speak English very well and they will teach them a little Japanese. spending a night here would be a mistake, like to support the conservation of the samurai and praise the owner to present this opportunity for both tourists and locals alike. the only part is that happy cow does not allow 5 stars.
Vegan options were fairly basic, but well prepared. I had the vegetable yakisoba, and my wife had a tofu and vegetable hot pot. Worth going to just for the experience of dining in the restaurant. Very cool traditional architecture and dining experience. Excellent service as well. Allergies clearly marked on the menu. Gluten free options.
