Dinner in this restaurant is absolutely an amazing experience. The experienced chefs create the dishes before you with an enormous amount of detail and also do serving with much enthusiasm. The Kobe-Rind was the best thing I had in Japan and just melts in the mouth. Thanks to the chefs we had a wonderful evening that we will not forget! View all feedback.

Exciting luxury dining experience. We have listed an online booking on the website. We received a call to check the menu options we have made and the number of people in our party. Although her English was very limited (as we expected), every detail was on our desire. The food... in a word... PHENOMENAL. I know the experience will be personal for every diner, but for me the execution was exactly what I expected. Cured dishes for each course so that you are satisfied and also for more longing. The staff was so courteous and friendly. It meant as much to me to be treated as a local. The warm smiles and small jokes besides great ambience and fresh ingredients. It was a great value for the costs. Thank you for all your time and for the unforgettable experience.
We changed our dinner reservations for lunch as we wanted to visit Osaka in the afternoon. The place was quite empty when we came there with only 4 other guests. The food was delicious as the cook has cooked every piece for perfection in front of the eyes. The meal was kind of expensive, but you must expect that with beef. I knew I didn't go to Japan in a while and that was my first Kobe experience in Japan, so my friend and I shared all 3 different cuts of Aged Kobe Steak. I have to say my darling was the Sirloin as the Mager and finally the Tenderloin. Although it was called lean, beef was so juicy and tasteful. The tenderness was definitely the softest and easiest to chew, but I feel like it was missing as much taste as the other cuts. I also saw some ladies order the Hamburger Steak for lunch and that was enormous! That seemed the best bang for the buck, but I was here for beef. I was happy, but if I ever came back, I would just get the Sirloin and also try the hamburger for lunch.
We were a little nervous when we came in because the place was full of tourists, but the food was amazing. English menu and English speaking staff. You can order one of 3 tasting menus (2 of them Kobe) or a la carte. Beef is delicious and melts in your mouth. Amazing roasted rice. Cost-effective compared to many places we went in Japan but not expensive compared to similar meals at home in New York.
The food here was incredible. I've never had beef melt away in my mouth the way it did here. The other dishes included in the set were also spectacular. The service was great too with the chefs and staff being very attentive. Even though the price seems a tadhigh (paid a total of ¥8800/person) you end up getting a decent amount of food and we barely managed to finish the garlic rice bowl at the end before being served dessert. We already made a pledge to go back when we return to Kyoto in the future.
