Eat delicious Italian cuisine in Kyoto In this restaurant you can taste the ultimate Italian perfection from Antipasto to Primo Piatto, Secondo Piatto, Contorno and Dolce. The cutlery is Christofle, so I want to enjoy 4C after dinner at the bar, just like French cuisine. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Locanda:
I would gave minus 100 stars if I could. MOST MEDIOCRE FOOD I ate in Japan. I showed to the host a picture of a simple spaghetti with sauce I wanted from their website, he repeated the dish and ingredients and then brought me something else: a dish that a could cook at home better! He didn’t even apologize. My partner’s “fresh shrimp” pasta was soooo oddly chewy. SUPER OVERPRICED FOOD fit for dogs. View all feedback.

Breakfast is nothing but great. The rice vinegar and grape juice freeze. The Kreuziant by Pierre-Hermes is fabulous. And the freshly made French toast is totally amazing.
Amazing breakfast with some choices of smoked salmon, pizza, fresh fruit to baked goods. Croissants are exalted, and French toast is out of this world.
Very good. Very attentive staff. Enjoyable 'good pace lunch' Our thanks to Luca from IL Restaurante Bvlgari Ginza, as he recommended, we try here, while on our frequent trips to Kyoto we have not yet before, as usually we have 've satisfied our anchoring for Italian food in Tokyo How you expect that the setting is quite large and opulent, since this is the mixture of Kyoto Italian rooms and I, Excellent wine list and additionally very good ' through the glass' decisions. When we booked, there was a selection of 3 set menus all courses were ideal for us and with a good pace between everyone.... I am a slow eater and the staff judged the timing exceptionally well. Each of the courses was very well prepared, and according to the photos that the Dessert published, was exceptionally good and we could see that this was prepared for us in the 'open' preparation area. I was told that the desserts here are quite famous these days so that the 'breakfast' and 'night tea' has become very popular, maybe next time we will try As already mentioned, we are slow eaters per the Nordic School of Food Style! and had a full afternoon here from 12 to 4 'ish I seem to remember. We had a good menu and some exceptionally good 'paired' glasses of wine with the different courses we drink too much. Costly it came to what we expected for setting, style, service and quality one of the best choices for Italian in Kyoto High recommended for lunch dinner: with friends, as couple, with customers
Surprisingly, top class Italian located in a hotel in Kyoto. Creative kaiseki style course menus with local ingredients. Lean menu with excellent beef and pasta offerings in particular. Excellent service. Come hungry.
