Hinode Udon - Kyoto

Just amazing I have the normal tempura Udon and my SO had the Curry Udon. Both were amazing and the staff was great. The owner even drove to us in the street to give us the change (which we left for purpose as a tip). It's better to sneak this soup.

The best curry I ever had. Long line, but worth waiting. Great stop for lunch between Nanzenji and all other temples further north along the Philosophenweg. English menu available and easy to order without knowing Japanese.

The best udon I’ve ever had in my life. We walked in and noticed that there were a lot of locals, so we know it’s not a tourist trap restaurant. We ordered the shrimp pot udon and the beef/tofu curry udon. They are known for the curry udon and it was delicious! It’s not too heavy or thick where you’ll get sick of it and we mixed the soup with rice after eating the noodles. The shrimp tempura udon is deep in flavor and is for those who enjoy a typical udon bowl. I highly recommend this place!

I loved this place! The owners are super nice and attentive. The food is delicious! We came here because we wanted some good udon curry and we were not disappointed. We had the best udon curry with beef we ever had at a reasonable price in a lovely old fashioned setting. It’s a must try l! You will note regret it!

Exquisite curry udon, with a soft and a bit spicy flavor. The beef with fried tofu one was more tasty than the chicken one but both were excellent. It looked pretty local as we were the only foreigners. In addition is a good value for money.
