Gold Soup Udon - Kyoto

I requested for this restaurant to be removed from Happy Cow as I mistakenly thought it was vegetarian-friendly. However, all the dishes contain fish in the dashi broth. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, this restaurant is not suitable for us.

This restaurant only accepts cash. It is conveniently located near Hanamikoji Street and the Kenninji temple in Gion. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. I tried the Vegan 10-vegetable curry udon and it was delicious. The soup was thick and flavorful, with a nice level of spiciness. Despite being spicier than I am used to, I couldn't resist finishing the entire bowl. It is a perfect dish for cold weather. The menu includes 2 vegan udon options, as well as several other vegan and vegetarian appetizers and sides. I would definitely return to try the other vegan udon option. (See uploaded pictures).

I ordered the vegan 10 vegetables curry udon and I was not disappointed. it has a very rich taste, thick suppe, and although it is quite sharp for what I am used to tolerate, it has not my pleasure to finish the entire dish. perfect cold bowl. there are 2 vegan udon options, and a few other vegan and vegetarian appetizers, pages, etc. (see pictures uploaded.) I would like to go back to try the other vegan Udon option.
