We really enjoyed Touzan. The ambience was chic and cozy, drinks were excellent. Bar employees were first-class craftsmen in cocktail making. We ordered on and out menu; my favorite was her old fashion. We had dinner on Christmas eve 2022. It was a set meal, hit and miss for some of the dishes and we were given very small portions for the main wagyu beef meal. A local with us remarked that he was sure on his previous meal that bigger portions were served to locals. View all feedback.
If you appreciate fine Japanese fares, I recommend Higashiyama Touzan for her lunch menu 11.30 am 2.30 pm. Although prices are expensive, the cook compliments local dishes in seasonal menu on offer. If you have experienced good food in the past, you will know that it is so much about the experience as the meal itself. Allow time to fully enjoy it. In this sense I recommend the Kagomori set, beautifully presented and the cheapest set in the menu. Tom

The famous cocktails are good; they make a local gin in Kyoto. The actual production of drinks was done with such an art that I enjoyed the bar staff almost as good as I enjoyed the drinks. Their ability with stirring and shaking is truly world class and produces an amazing product.
Large Japanese restaurant at Hyatt Kyoto Hotel. They offer a flight of love, so you can taste all the different types of local yard that they have. You are nigiri is superb
Enjoyed my experience here. Big spacious dining room and polite wait staff. Had a seat by the open fire pit and it was quite warm but a great experience. The food was good but I thought the meat had a real gamey taste to it.
