The best desserts in town. If you want to visit an old fashionable malt shoppe, visit Pop's Malt shoppe. The ice cream tastes no sandy texture like another ice cream in the next city. The staff is very friendly and do not push out the door after you just ordered because they want to leave a few minutes early as at the other place. What User doesn't like about Pop's Malt Shoppe:
Sweet atmosphere. Good milkshakes. Terrible food and too expensive. Chickenbacon Ranch Sandwich $10.75. Frozen chicken patty with bacon bits on barely grilled white bread. View all feedback.
The ice cream is great, but the service can be quite slow in the evenings. Additionally, it’s a bit pricey for ice cream.
The best desserts in town! If you're looking for a charming vintage malt shop, you need to check out Pop's Malt Shop. The ice cream is smooth and creamy, unlike the grainy texture you'll find at some other places in the next city over. The staff here are incredibly friendly and never rush you out the door just because they're eager to close up early, like you might experience elsewhere. It's definitely worth the extra five-mile drive to visit Pop's. The only downside is that during the winter, it can be less enjoyable for ice cream lovers, but that shouldn't deter you from trying it!
I love the atmosphere here; it has a nostalgic vibe from the 50s and 60s. I only visit a few times a year. As a diabetic, I find they often serve too much ice for my liking. The food is always good, and on my most recent visit, I had a chicken sandwich with fries and a drink for about $14, which is pretty average—it's hard to find a much better deal even at McDonald's. I rated this place highly because the food is tasty, the prices are reasonable, and the decor brings back many fond memories. I would definitely recommend it to everyone, including young people and families, as there's something for everyone here.
Pops is a real old malt shop. A repulsion in the 1950s, including music! Such a charming place. You have so many different flavors its hard to choose. And then they have all kinds of sunflowers, shakes and even frozen yogurt! The workers there are always friendly!! Definitely an ice-lover paradise!!
Nice stop on our drive. Food and ice cream. 50 style. Hot dog was good but roll was stale for bbq sandwich. Great ice cream
