I love padang style Indonesian food. There was plenty of vegetable, non meat, options. This place is surrounded by western style restaurants selling European style food but I love Indonesian food, so when I 'm in Indonesia I don 't want to eat western food. This warung was an oasis and a relief to find. I was the only westerner in there. I wonder if other westerners are afraid to try this food because it 's unfamiliar to them and/or they are afraid it might make them sick. I eat this type of food as often as I can and it 's never made me sick.
