I always find myself coming back to satisfy my pancake cravings. Deluxe fries are guaranteed not to disappoint as well. This place seems to be constantly understaffed and it does take quite a while to be seated or to have your order taken View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Pancake Parlour Northland:
The service is awful. Went on a Thursday just before lunch. Ordered off the app as the QR code is still on the table. It took them 15 minutes to make our food, even though there were only five other tables. Oh, and we all ordered the same thing, pancakes, including the childrens meal. They brought the kids meal last. Never checked on us, and had the nerve to look for a tip when we left. The pancakes were delicious bu... View all feedback.
We all know the feeling. You wake up, it 's a cold, rainy Sunday and you 've aaaalmost just about forgotten the last time you spent $85 at Pancake Parlour for a couple of meals and you start thinking The Thoughts. You 're mind starts going well, it 's just me and all I want is a stack of pancakes and a coffee or something, it couldn 't be THAT expensive , so off you go. As a quick aside I remember in Melbourne when businesses started adding 1 or 2% surcharge to the bill on public holidays (because apparently paying staff award wages on a Public Holiday was single handedly crushing their besieged businesses, lol) and then the pandemic hit and businesses were like ok, now we 're struggling to pay our staff on weekends Ha Ha, so please pay 2% surcharge for a little while to help us out Today my stomach 's Pancake Parlour nostalgia was cured forever. I went in to get a seat but saw a sign saying they are now charging a massive weekend flat rate surcharge of 10%.... This swollen, overpriced franchise seemingly wants to pass the entire cost of it 's wages onto it 's customers without blinking and the small print says that the Public Holiday surcharge is now 15% which made me laugh as I turned around and walked out. Nah. Join me in giving this sub par relic of a business two middle fingers and never eat here again. It 's 100% not worth it and that is maths that you can bank on. It helps knowing that their pancakes are dry, their potatoes undercooked and the salsa consists of diced tinned tomatoes and corn kernels. Don 't do it to yourself. A business that can 't pay it 's staff without surcharges belongs in the bin.

Usually only write reviews to praise but in this case am annoyed enough to call out bad service. Dropped in this afternoon hoping for a hot drink. Sunday before 5.00pm. We waited while the girl seated and served the people who came in behind us. When the girl (dark hair, wide-legged pants with wide black and white stripes) finally came to our table I asked about a couple of vouchers I thought I might use with our order. The extra 5% surcharge for Sunday I was expecting. The refusal to honour the vouchers because she had not placed our order before 5.00pm was a surprise. I pointed out that we were seated before 5.00, it was only a couple of minutes after 5.00 when we finally caught her attention. She was firm that the order needed to be placed before 5.00. There was no acknowledgement of her failure to serve us before dealing with those behind us or apology for refusing the vouchers or indeed any suggestion of regret at all. Very much a case of lights on no one home Come on Pancake Parlour this a pathetic example of interaction with customers and no example at all of decent service! Sad! Sad! Sad!
Not a bad place to go for Brunch or catch up with friends prior a movie. All day breakfast is great. Has a good vibe and great service. The menus is pretty good. Allot to choose from. If your a sweet tooth you will love the sweet pancake or crepe options. Good place to go with a group, the food is good but would more go for the atmosphere. Enjoy xxx
