Calling all sweet tooths. Tella balls dessert bar has opened in Melbourne Central and their desserts will have you dreaming of Nutella for days to come. Their specialty tella ball donut is soft and fluffy and filled with Nutella but just in case you’re not a fan of Nutella they have lots of other flavours too. The menu has interesting desserts that spark your curiosity like dessert kebabs, dessert pasta, dessert fish and chips and donut fries. If you’re looking for a sweet overload this place will do the trick.
If you got a sweet tooth, this is gonna be your paradise! I’ve been excited about visiting this outlet ever since I read about its opening in Melbourne! The menu has a lot of options on it, and it took us a while to decide upon what to order, since everything looked and sounded delicious. We ended up ordering the Kinder Bueno pancakes, Tellatam Waffles, and the Tella-ball shakes. The food arrived looking delicious as, and I probably would’ve taken more pictures if the chocolate-lover in me could wait a bit before indulging in these oh-so-beautiful creations. The shakes were delicious! Not too thick, but not too milky either, I think they balanced out well. The only thing I wasn’t too fond of were the Tella balls themselves, which seemed a little dry and chewy to me. The Tellatam waffles were really nice, crispy and thick, loaded with chocolate. If you’re a Tim-tam lover, this should definitely be your thing. However, for me, the pancakes were a standout. The Nutella, the icecream and the Kinder and the pancakes, it was a heaven to me. Personally, if you’re confused between ordering waffles or pancakes, I’d say choose the pancakes unless you have a really huge appetite. This place is definitely gonna have me visiting over and over again till I probably try everything on their menu, haha.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE. A cafe dedicated entirely to everyone's favourite chocolatey hazelnut spread? I was in heaven. You can actually order a chocolate lasagne (and a slider, but I've seen that one before) like where does that brilliant idea even stem from. I'd just eaten breakfast so I settled on a Nutella cronut, a Nutella pancake stack topped with Nutella ice cream and a golden gaytime doughnut just to mix it up. I have nothing more to say other than I fear I will legitimately be here every week
Nutella is the hero at this new dessert bar which will definitely appeal to your sweet tooth with it’s amazing chocolate filled creations, signature tella balls and icecream...
A dessert lover 's dream! NSW-based business, Tella Balls Dessert Bar, has expanded to Melbourne, and sweet tooth 's are rejoicing! It can be a little difficult to find, hidden deep inside Melbourne Central, within the lower ground food court right next to the train station entrance/exit. Although the ambience of this food court isn 't very complimentary to the amazing offerings at Tella Balls, you have to look past that and focus on their eye-catching desserts... which isn 't too difficult!<br/ <br/ Lit up in bright lights, their range of donuts lining the front cabinet is impressive, as is their range of ice cream flavours, available to order on their own, or as an addition to any of their dessert range. They are famous for their 'tella balls ' (i.e. Nutella-filled doughnuts , which have a decent amount of Nutella within their fluffy doughnut exterior. From waffles, to pancakes, crepes, milkshakes and even deceiving 'savoury ' items, you can get everything your sweet soul desires.<br/ <br/ Our picks would be: Tellabab (a dessert 'kebab ', filled with whipped cream, Nutella, strawberries, bananas and shaved chocolate , Oreo Pancakes, Kinder Bueno Waffle, any of their milkshakes, and the Pastatella (an addictive dish of crepes cut into strips, like pasta, topped with chocolate sauce, ice cream, and shaved chocolate as the 'cheese ' . Very creative in their offerings, this is unlike any other dessert bar in Melbourne. Though, be prepared to bring a few people with you to share, and take heed that the quality of the ingredients and the serving sizes mean that this won 't be the cheapest dessert you will buy.
