Light Years - Kurunjang

Light Years is a bit of an Instagram hotspot so I was a bit concerned that the food would be very pretty but not so nice to eat. I'm happy to report that the food is pretty good.<br/ <br/ Our favourite is the Bircher Muesli which is also available as a $6 takeaway tub to take home. The chicken burger was great with good flavour and generous portion. The Big breakfast was just okay, nothing special and a little oily. We added avocado which I was surprised was literally half of an avocado with no seasoning.<br/ <br/ Service was a bit sporadic. There were many staff who seemed quite disorganised and jobs were only partly done before being abandoned. E.g. half of our table was cleared, water jugs were not refilled.

Went there with a group of friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee. I had the smashed avocado. The pistachio butter was so yummy. The servings are quite big for us. Service was really friendly. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends over great coffee and food.

The coffee was amazing but a bit slow to come out, however it was a long weekend and it was relatively busy. Super friendly service made up for the slow coffee. The food was great quality and came out relatively quickly, with all dishes at the same time. The gluten free bread was VERY good. Would return

The place served way beyond my expectations from food to the ambience, it was just perfect. The Big vegetarian brekky was so satisfying and it did gave me a great start to the busy week ahead. And the chilli scrambled eggs had a great texture with appropriate balance of flavours. Also, we finished off with the cheesecake, not the best but definitely worth a try. Would definitely visit again to try their brunch.

Did you even go to Light Years if you didn’t take a photo? <br/ Persian fetta potato croquette eggs poached perfectly. Crunchy potato croquette that was full of flavour. A little bit of kale to make you feel a little healthy. Very delicious meal.
