Breakfast was delicious and decorative (see photo) Staff friendly and service quick. Loved the courtyard in the back. If you’re in Hawthorn, dine in. (Alan Kohler’s “Money Cafe” recording location) View all feedback.
What Lara A doesn't like about Le Clec:
The wait was too long and the service was pretty bad l. The staff were very nice and understanding but even so, we had a terrible experience, First we ordered and after 30 min, they told us the hotcakes were unavailable so I ordered the muffin instead, it arrived cold after about 15mins later and my mum watched me eat it, still waiting for her dish. At a cafe, U would expect your dishes to come together so you're not... View all feedback.
Turned up, mid Sunday morning, on the off chance of grabbing a table for 8 for breakfast and where chuffed to be able to be fitted in we didn't book) This place is great. The menu is amazing with enough choice to satisfy all of us even the kids and the token vegetarian) The food is outstanding I highly recommend the macaroni cheese croquettes) and the staff just **** well rock, nothing was too much trouble and they didn't hound you every 5 mins. And to top it off we got a complimentary bottle of wine to accompany our breakfast spend a certain amount to receive aforementioned plonk) Well it was wine o clock somewhere in the world! All in all, a great first experience and visit to Le Clec and one we hope to return to often. Will definitely return and will DEFINITELY recommend to my friends and clients. 5 Stars.
Amazing food and amazing service! If you are looking for a great breakfast/brunch place then go here. Their coffee is amazing too!
The interior is so beautiful with lots of natural light and attention to small details. The chef and his menu are great; everything I 've ordered has surpassed my expectations and been an excellent mix of flavours and textures. The menu 's also more interesting than 'standard Australian cafe fare ' while still including elements of Sunday brunch favourites.
Gorgeous cafe in a great location. The current owners came on board about 14 months ago and are passionate about serving good quality food with a creative Asian fusion inspired by their background. We ordered the smashed avo and the (special) pulled pork burger with kimchi fries PLUS the hotcakes to share. All the meals were very generously portioned and beautifully presented. The blackberry hotcakes with chocolate mousse and spiced maple were a definite highlight! The service is friendly and the coffee is great, we'll be back soon.
Thanks for looking after us today, our waiter was lovely- 5 star service. The food was beautifully presented and a great, child friendly atmosphere.
