The ramen is consistently fantastic; it brings back memories of dining at Ippudo in Japan!
I absolutely love the food and service at this restaurant! However, I didn't enjoy waiting outside in the cold. It would be great if they offered free hot beverages or outdoor heaters. I can't wait to return!
Having multiple franchises in Australia, IPUDDO offers a carefully curated selection of ramen and side dishes made with high-quality ingredients. As a foodie who enjoys discovering affordable dining options, I found myself hesitating at the menu prices. However, the unforgettable flavors keep calling me back, and I can’t wait to return to this hidden gem once the lockdown is lifted. Seating during dinner can be quite challenging since they don’t take reservations, so you're at the mercy of luck to avoid a wait. But let me tell you, the wait is absolutely worth it. The ambiance is modern yet tranquil, with warm timber tones that transport you right back to Japan. The staff is friendly, providing the kind of genuine service you’d expect in Japan. We started with pork buns and seared salmon aburi, followed by a ramen each. I opted for the classic tonkotsu ramen, and each slurp was delectable. It wasn’t overly rich, and the flavors were beautifully balanced. The pork was incredibly fatty and juicy, making me wish for a bigger portion. My only critique would be that the ramen noodles were just average, which was a slight letdown. The pork buns were fantastic; they clearly know how to treat their meats well. The fluffy milk buns paired perfectly with the pork, creating an ideal blend of savory and sweet. If I were to return, it would definitely be for the seared salmon sushi topped with cream cheese, which I found irresistible. The seared salmon melted in my mouth while the slight crispiness from searing added a delightful texture. It was light yet bursting with flavor. Overall, the harmonious balance of flavors at IPUDDO makes it a place I’m eager to visit again. I miss you, Ippudo!
I was freezing the whole time I was there. Our table was along the entrance. I couldn't enjoy at all, it felt like I was having dinner outside. The food was great, however paying over 30 box for ramen is a bit much, but being in the cbd, I guess $30 is the new $20 now! Price per person: $40–60 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
