The food quality was great and the soup base was delicious. Also, there's a wide variety at the sauce station, including dessert. Haidilao is known for their service in China and the Glen Waverley store was no different. On top of checking up on us frequently, the staff were happy to provide extra services to make us happy, even jokingly tying up a guy friend's short hair. The only point at which it wasn't up to scra... View all feedback.
What cynthia Lopez Levano doesn't like about Hai Di Lao:
Service here is unbeatable, every staff was so kind, welcoming and went above and beyond to entertain us. The food itself was ok, the broth was nice but not the kind I would come back for. The sides were also just ok, but that's probably our fault for our choices. Come expecting damage to your wallet. Overall, happy I visited but a little disappointing when it comes to the food! Accessible by train, it's 10 minutes walk from the station and a short walk up the escalator to level 1 opposite Shujinku! ORDERED: ? 1/2 tomato soup base ? 1/2 laksa soup ? Beancurd skin ? Enoki mushroom ? Marinated hai di lao beef ? Marinated hai di lao lamb ? Quail eggs ? Lettuce ? Sauces $64.40pp REVIEW: ? Came to watch the hype when the mans performs the noodle dance. Too bad he looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but here ?. The service was unreal. Right from the get go, had the waitress provide a plastic sleeve for our masks, offer me a hair tie, detailed explanation of the soup formations, to making us a tomato soup with suggested toppings, scooping off the excess froth from the broth... it was this attention to detail that blew me away. Food itself was above average. Cuts of beef and lamb that firmed up perfectly within the soup bases, retaining its marinade flavour as well. With extra complimentary dishes as part of the sauce bar, I really went to town on the corn salad. ??? But for the high price tag, lack of MSG at the sauce bar HAHAHA and underwhelming key performance, it ain't a place I will be returning to .
We went to haidilao to celebrate a birthday. The experience was fantastic, albeit the food a little expensive. Staff were attentive and helpful, we loved all the little perks and service, such as the staff singing happy birthday to us. The sauce station was also great and the food was good quality. I would come here again.
Guys Gluten free is why I chose you now readers don’t turn off GF is a medical essential for some people I came here because you confirmed on phone you did GF then I double checked with waiter and you sold me a high gluten flour based product I paid $94 for 2 dishes GF I repeat it is a medical necessity for some people! Rather sad as the food is great but NOT GF not honest…..

They offer an iPad to each table for ordering food. Waitress put away my jacket, provide free hand wipes and snacks. Free porridge and fruit. Free nail beauty work. Great service. Server remove the rubbish from the dining table frequently. A great place to celebrate birthday/anniversary, the staff will celebrate with you together. Been there twice, the price is matching the quality of the service, and the taste of the hot pot is great. The food is very fresh. Definitely will visit frequently. Love the dinning environment.
